Well the numbers are in from Sunday.  We reported prelims Tuesday so for you who couldn’t be there:  We deposited: 1,251.00.  This includes cookies candy and cookbooks.  I am very, very pleased !!!  such a great effort from all of you who donated time, candy, cookies or money.  We only had one non member who donated cookies.  Bless her!!  I can only see this increasing each year with proper advertisement etc.
Reminder our post Christmas –Christmas party is Jan 3, 2017ar 6:30 pm in heritage center.  Bring a covered dish (leftovers from X-mas or New years are fine)!!     also bring a wrapped Old something of your choice and have a story about the article for the new owner.  It could be some old Ellinwood memorabilia ( from high school or business advertising, an period table cloth or baby bonnet or old picture or dish with a history, or old x-as ornament or Christmas card or valentine card, or dresser scarf.  just have it wrapped and have a story ready to present to the new owner when they unwrap.  Sounds like fun!! Questions call me.  or e-mail.
Remember Yearly dues are now due for those members who didn’t join as new members since Sept. 2016.  Mail to Sharla Thill.
Have a Wonderful and Blessed Christmas! and a Great New Year!!Joyce and my other half Joe

I want to say a BIG “Thank You” to each and everyone of you who Baked cookies, helped set up, worked the sale or tear down and clean up and to those who donated time and money connected to the cookie by the pound sale and put up with me!!!   The sale went so well and was such a joy to work with so many of our new younger members.  It does my soul good to see all the enthusiasm you all had during the process.  We don’t have final totals in but from the crowd and the lack of leftovers I think we did as good or better than last year.
We’ll have prelims ready by Tuesday’s Dec. 6 meeting.  Meeting is at the hospital at 7pm.  We will discuss our after x-mas, x-mas part to be held in Jan.  Hope you can come!!!
Left over cookies were given to Hospital aux for their sale which raises money for medical schlrships in addition to other projects.  We also sent a platter of cookies to Woodhaven, County living Place and hospital skilled care for their residents.  The sugar cookies went to St. Josephs’ school for their x-mas music program this Wed.  There weren’t many leftover It only took a little over an hour to package and deliver.
Again  “THANKS!
